What is Best of Tester?

Best of Tester is a community celebration of local excellence. During the course of the program, local residents will nominate and vote for their favorite local businesses, organizations and places. It’s the ultimate recognition – powered entirely by you. Winners are chosen by popular vote and showcased online for one year.

How does the nomination process work?

We ask the general public to nominate their favorites starting Jun 22nd, 2026 at 1:00pm and ending Jun 22nd, 2026 at 1:15pm. All nominated businesses will move forward to the voting ballot, no matter how many times they’re nominated. We invite all to nominate as many times as they’d like during the nomination phase.

Once I’ve been nominated, what’s next?

Once the nomination phase has concluded, there is a brief pause for the voting ballot to be validated to ensure those nominated do what they were nominated for. Voting will begin on Jun 22nd, 2026 at 1:20pm and end Jun 24th, 2026 at 1:30pm. During the voting phase each person can vote one time per day per category. We use proprietary methods to ensure that only one vote is being cast per category per site user. Any attempts to cast multiple votes will be detected and disqualified.

Does every business nominated appear on the voting ballot?

Nominees will be validated to ensure the nominated category is appropriate. After the validation is complete, all nominated businesses will move forward to the voting ballot, no matter how many times they’re nominated.

How does voting work?

Voters are permitted to vote in each category once per day. Businesses, organizations, individuals and schools are encouraged to promote the contest in order to gain nominations and/or votes. Non-competitive contesting and advertising where voters are offered free items, special items, goods or services in exchange for votes are not allowed and risk being disqualified from the ballot. Best of Tester at its sole discretion, reserves the right to exclude from the competition any businesses or individuals that engage in activities intended to rig or fix the voting process. Votes that are suspected of voter tampering or fraud may be disqualified.

When will winners be announced?

Winners will be displayed and announced on Aug 27th, 2026 at 4:00am.
